Wavefront has one plan with every feature. You pay $99 a month for 4,525 credits a month, or $990 a year for 3,771 credits a month. Drafting uses credits; talking to the strategist and editing a plan don't. Credits are the only limit.

## The plan

| | Monthly | Annual |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Price | $99 a month | $990 a year (2 months free) |
| Credits | 4,525 a month | 3,771 a month |
| Billed | Every month | Once a year, with credits granted each month |

The annual plan costs less per month and grants fewer credits per month. Pick the one that fits how much you write.

Every feature is included: the strategist, drafting and fact-checking, publishing to every destination, autopilot with auto-approve, the editorial mix, suggestions, Search Console, Google Analytics and Bing data, site metrics, the REST API and the MCP server. There are no limits on destinations, seats or autopilot cadence.

The [pricing page](/pricing) shows the plan as roughly how many posts a month it covers, once enough posts have been measured to say.

## The free trial

A new account gets 7 days of every feature with 300 credits and no card, once per person. See [start your trial](/help/getting-started/start-your-trial).

## What uses credits

- **Drafts use credits.** Each article, piece of copy, image and revision is charged for the work it did: research, writing, checking and images. Longer and more researched pieces use more.
- **Planning doesn't.** Talking to the strategist and editing a plan use no credits. They still need the trial or the plan.
- **Reading, reviewing and publishing don't.** Approving, commenting, scheduling and publishing use no credits.

## How a draft is charged

1. When a draft starts, it holds credits, up to what your balance can pay for. A low balance still starts smaller work.
2. When it finishes, it's charged what it used, never more than it held. The rest is released.
3. The draft's **Details** box shows its charge.

Before you start, **New generation** shows "≈ N credits" for the chosen kind, and calendar **Draft** buttons show the same estimate. It's the recent average for that kind.

## When a draft fails or is cancelled

- **A failure on our side is free.** If a draft fails because of a provider or internal error, or a lost run, you aren't charged.
- **A failure the workspace caused is charged for the work done, at a reduced rate.** For example, a document a draft needs is missing or invalid, or an answer it can't use.
- **A cancelled draft** is charged for the work already done, unless it had stalled on our side.

## See your credits

Open **Billing** in the sidebar:

- Your plan and its renewal date.
- Credits left, split into plan credits and pack credits.
- What expires next, and when.
- **Usage**: credits used in the last 30 days, by kind.
- **History**: credits in, and the charge for each draft, newest first.

Every member can see the balance. Agents and API keys can read it too.

## Keep spending in check

An owner can set a daily limit under **Settings → Limits and autopilot → Spend and concurrency**. **Daily spend (credits)** blocks new drafts once the day's usage reaches it, and **Concurrent generations** caps how many run at once. Autopilot's **Posts per run** caps each run.

## Run out of credits

When the balance is too low for a draft, Wavefront says so instead of starting it. Owners can buy a credit pack or wait for the next month's credits. See [credit packs and rollover](/help/billing-and-credits/credit-packs-and-rollover).

You only ever see credits. Wavefront never shows dollar costs for individual drafts.
