Wavefront
Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated:
This policy lists what you may not do with Wavefront, including its web app, its API and its MCP server. It adds detail to section 7 of the Terms of Service, which it is part of. It applies to everyone who uses a workspace, and to every API key and AI agent connected to one: what an agent does with your connection counts as what you do.
Content you may not create or publish
Do not use Wavefront to create, approve or publish content that:
- is illegal where it is published, or promotes illegal activity;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights, including images you have no right to use;
- defames a person or business, or makes false claims about them;
- harasses, threatens or promotes hatred or violence against people based on who they are;
- sexualizes minors, in any form;
- deceives readers about facts that matter to them, such as a product’s price, safety, origin or results.
Search and platform spam
Search engines and social platforms publish spam policies, and section 7 of the Terms requires you to follow the policies of every place you publish to. In particular, do not use Wavefront for:
- Scaled content abuse: publishing many pages made mainly to rank in search, with little value for the people who read them. Publishing often is fine. Publishing pages nobody reviewed for usefulness is not.
- Link schemes: buying, selling or exchanging links to manipulate rankings, or placing links you are paid for without marking them as sponsored.
- Cloaking and sneaky redirects: showing search engines different content from what people see, or sending people somewhere other than what they clicked.
- Doorway pages: many near-identical pages, such as one per city, that funnel visitors to the same place.
- Site reputation abuse: publishing third-party content on a site to profit from that site’s ranking, when the site’s owners don’t oversee it.
- Fake reviews and testimonials: reviews, ratings, quotes or endorsements from people who don’t exist or didn’t say them, or that hide a paid relationship.
- Impersonation: content that pretends to come from another person, business, publication or public body, or that copies their brand to mislead.
Accounts and destinations
- Publish only to sites, CMS accounts, social accounts and newsletter tools that you own or are authorized to use.
- Connect only Google, Bing and other accounts that you are allowed to connect for the workspace.
- Do not share sign-ins. Invite people to the workspace instead, so each person has their own account and role.
- Do not create extra accounts or workspaces to get more trial credits. The trial is one per person.
Credits, limits and the service itself
- Do not get around credits, plan limits, rate limits or usage caps, for example by splitting work across accounts or replaying requests.
- Do not use the API, MCP or agents to send more requests than you need, to hold resources you aren’t using, or to retry in tight loops after an error tells you to wait.
- Do not probe, scan or test Wavefront’s security, try to reach another workspace’s data, or bypass sign-in or permissions. If you find a security problem, report it to support@adwave.com and don’t use it.
- Do not reverse-engineer, copy or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not use Wavefront to send malware, phishing pages or other harmful code to readers or destinations.
Professional advice needs a qualified reviewer
Content that gives legal, medical, financial, tax or safety advice must be reviewed by a qualified person before you publish it, as section 5 of the Terms says. Wavefront’s fact check compares claims with sources. It does not replace a professional’s judgment.
How to report abuse
Email support@adwave.com. Include the URL of the content, why you believe it breaks this policy and how we can reach you. If you are reporting content that infringes your rights, say which work or mark it infringes and confirm that you own it or act for the owner. We review every report. We may not be able to tell you what action we took.
What we may do
When we believe this policy has been broken, we may:
- ask you to fix or remove the content;
- withdraw content Wavefront published, or stop a scheduled post;
- pause autopilot, disconnect a destination, or revoke an API key or agent connection;
- suspend or close the workspace or account.
We give notice and a chance to fix the problem where that is practicable. We may act first and explain afterwards when there is a risk to people, to the service or to other customers, or when the law requires it. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or email support@adwave.com.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when the policy changes and change the date above. Material changes are emailed to workspace owners before they take effect, as for the Terms.
