Connect Wavefront to Make scenarios

Run Make scenarios on Wavefront events and start drafts, publish or export from your scenarios.

Workspace API key

What it does

Make scenarios can watch Wavefront events, such as a version being approved or a page going live, and act on them in the rest of your stack.

Modules start drafts, draft calendar posts, message the strategist, add documents, publish approved versions, export articles and list calendar posts. Approval stays with a person in the web app.

Before you start

  • A Make account
  • A workspace API key with the scopes your scenarios need, created by an owner

How to connect Make

  1. In Wavefront, an owner opens Settings → API and MCP and creates a key with the scopes the scenario needs.
  2. In Make, add a Wavefront connection with the key.
  3. Add a Watch events module and pick the event to watch.
  4. Add action modules, such as Export a version, and run the scenario once to test.

What it covers

  • Watch events: drafts ready, approvals, published pages, comments, saved plans, suggestions and more
  • Actions: start a generation, draft a calendar post, message the strategist, add a document, publish, export
  • List calendar posts, for scenarios that react to a saved plan
  • Each delivery's signature and age are checked

Good to know

  • Until the Wavefront app is public in Make, use Make's Webhooks and HTTP modules with your API key.
  • Each Watch events module watches one event; add one per event.
  • Export uses JSON; use Make's HTTP module for Markdown or HTML.
