What it does
Connect Asana and every post on your saved content calendar appears as a task in the project you pick. As a post moves through drafting, review, approval and publishing, its task moves between sections.
Wavefront stays the source of truth: a post's task changes within seconds of a status change, and a published post completes its task.
Before you start
- Owner role in the Wavefront workspace
- An Asana project
How to connect Asana
- In Wavefront, open Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Asana under Project tools.
- Approve access in Asana.
- Pick the project the tasks go to.
- Choose Sync now, or let it sync on its own.
What it covers
- One task per calendar post, with the title and calendar date as the due date
- Notes with the format, strategy, keyword, pillar, angle and a link to the post
- Sections for Planned, Drafting, Ready for review, Approved and Published
- Tags for the format and the strategy
- A post removed from the calendar completes its task
Good to know
- One-way: moving a due date in Asana doesn't move the post, and edits to synced fields are overwritten.
- Assignees, comments, subtasks and custom fields you add in Asana are left alone.
- Only the owner who connected Asana can pick the project.
