What it does
Add Wavefront to Cursor as a remote MCP server and work on content from your editor: draft and revise articles, read workspace documents, and export approved articles as Markdown.
Cursor signs in with OAuth in your browser. A team setup can use a workspace API key from an environment variable instead.
Before you start
- Cursor
- A Wavefront account in a workspace with a plan or trial
How to connect Cursor
- Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or the project's .cursor/mcp.json).
- Add a server named wavefront with the url https://wavefront.adwave.com/mcp.
- Cursor shows Needs login for the server. Click it and sign in to Wavefront in the browser.
- Choose Allow on the consent page, then ask the agent to list your Wavefront workspaces.
What it covers
- Start articles, copy and images, and request revisions
- Read and write workspace documents, with every change a restorable version
- Export approved articles as HTML, Markdown or JSON
- Publish or schedule approved versions to destinations that allow agents
Good to know
- No approval tool: a person approves in the web app.
- Agents can't post to social networks, send newsletters or withdraw a publication.
- The connection lasts 30 days, then Cursor asks you to sign in again.
