What it does
Add Wavefront to Grok as a custom connector and ask for plans, drafts and publishing in a chat. Grok signs in to Wavefront with OAuth, so there is no key to paste.
A bot you build on the xAI API connects with a workspace API key instead. Either way, approving drafts stays with people in the Wavefront web app.
Before you start
- A Grok account (on Business and Enterprise, an admin may need to provision the connector)
- A Wavefront account in a workspace with a plan or trial
How to connect Grok
- Go to grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom.
- Name it Wavefront and enter https://wavefront.adwave.com/mcp.
- In the sign-in pop-up, sign in to Wavefront, leave read, write and stay connected checked, and choose Allow.
- In a chat, ask Grok to list your Wavefront workspaces.
- For a bot on the xAI API, an owner creates a key in Settings → API and MCP and the bot sends it as a bearer token.
What it covers
- Talk to the strategist, edit and save plans, and draft calendar posts
- Start articles, copy and images, answer their questions and request revisions
- Read documents, versions, the calendar and search performance
- Publish or schedule approved versions to destinations that allow agents
Good to know
- No approval tool: a person approves in the web app.
- Agents can't post to social networks, send newsletters or withdraw a publication.
- An API key reaches only its own workspace, with the scopes an owner gave it.
