What it does
Connect Search Console and Wavefront reads the searches your site appears for, which page ranks for each, and how your sitemaps are doing. Access is read-only: nothing can change in Google.
The strategist plans with that data, the Performance page shows it, and suggestions point out pages close to page one, titles few people click, and pages losing clicks. Each published article shows its own numbers.
Before you start
- Owner role in the Wavefront workspace
- A Google account with access to the site's Search Console property
How to connect Search Console
- In Wavefront, open Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Google.
- Sign in with Google and allow read-only access to Search Console (and Analytics, if you use it).
- Pick the Search Console property for your site. Wavefront suggests the one that matches your site address.
- Wait for the first sync, or choose Sync now. After that Wavefront syncs daily.
- Open Performance to see queries, pages, opportunities and suggestions.
What it covers
- Clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, 28 days against the 28 before
- The top 500 queries with their ranking page, and the top 500 pages
- Sitemap status, for site-health suggestions
- Opportunities and suggestions you approve, edit or dismiss
- A short summary of the data for the strategist and the article writer
Good to know
- Read-only: Wavefront can't submit URLs or change anything in Google.
- Impressions count how often your site was shown, not how many people searched.
- The view is a daily 28-day snapshot, ending 3 days ago while Google's data settles.
- One Google account per workspace; only the owner who connected it picks the property.
