Create Kit broadcast drafts from Wavefront

What it does

Wavefront turns approved newsletter copy into a draft broadcast in Kit. The broadcast has no send time and isn't public.

It never sends the broadcast. You review it in Kit and send it yourself.

Before you start

• A Kit account
• A v4 API key

How to connect Kit

1. In Kit, create a v4 API key under Settings → Developer → API keys.
2. In Wavefront, open Settings → Publishing and choose Add destination. Pick Kit.
3. Paste the API key. Optionally enter an email template ID and a confirmed sending address.
4. Choose Test connection. Wavefront checks the settings and credentials without writing anything, then you save.
5. On an approved newsletter, choose Create draft in Kit.

What Wavefront sends

• A broadcast with no send time and not public
• Subject line, preview text and the body
• Your email template, or the account's default

Good to know

• Drafts only. Wavefront can't send or schedule a broadcast.
• Once a broadcast has been sent or scheduled, Wavefront can't change or delete it.
