Your data, exports and deleting a workspace
Export your articles and documents at any time, disconnect accounts, and ask support to delete your account or a workspace you own. What is kept and for how long.
Updated
Your workspace content stays yours. You can export articles and read every document at any time, disconnect any account you connected, and ask us to delete your account or a workspace you own. Deleting a workspace removes its content, connections and stored tokens within 30 days.
Export your content
- Articles. Every approved article has an Export box: Copy as HTML, Copy as Markdown and Download (.zip), which holds the article as HTML, Markdown and JSON with its images.
- Copy and images. The Use it box has Copy text and Download image.
- Documents. Every workspace document is readable on the Documents page, with its full version history.
- Everything, in bulk. The REST API exports any approved version and lists all generations, documents, strategies and publications. See the API documentation.
Disconnect accounts
Owners can disconnect anything they connected:
- Google. Disconnect in Settings → Integrations revokes the token with Google and deletes the stored token and the synced Search Console and Analytics data. You can also remove access from your Google Account’s security settings.
- Bing Webmaster Tools. Disconnect deletes the stored key and the synced Bing data.
- Document imports. Disconnecting Google Drive, Notion or Confluence deletes Wavefront’s access and stops resyncing. Imported documents stay until you delete them.
- Destinations. Removing a destination stops anything new being published there. The history of what was published stays.
- API keys. Revoke stops a key at once.
Leave or remove people
Anyone can leave a workspace from the Team page; their work stays. Owners can remove members, which also revokes their API keys. See invite your team.
Delete your account or a workspace
There’s no delete button in the app yet. To delete your account, or a workspace you own, email support@adwave.com from the address on the account and say which workspace. For privacy requests, such as a copy of your personal information, email privacy@adwave.com.
Before you ask:
- Export anything you want to keep.
- Cancel the plan from Billing → Manage billing, so it doesn’t renew. See manage billing and cancel.
- Withdraw any published posts you want taken down. Deleting a workspace doesn’t remove pages already live at your destinations.
When a workspace is deleted, its content, connections and stored tokens are deleted within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
What Wavefront keeps, and why
- Workspace content is kept while the workspace exists.
- Published versions and their records are kept so you can see what was published, where and when.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Synced search data is a rolling 28-day snapshot that each sync replaces.
How your content is used
Wavefront doesn’t sell personal information, and doesn’t use your workspace content or Google data to train AI models. Destinations and tools you connect receive the content and events you send them, under their own terms.
Read the full privacy policy, the terms and how we protect your data on the security page.
If something goes wrong
- You can’t export a draft. Only approved versions export for everyone. Owners and editors can export a draft that isn’t approved through the API.
- You’re the only owner and want to leave. Make someone else an owner first, or ask support to delete the workspace.
Still need help? Email support@adwave.com with your workspace name and what you were doing.
